Welcome to the oldest campsite on Crete! Created by campers for campers Camping Elizabeth has been established in the year
1964. You will find us half distance between the cities of Heraklion to the east and Hania in the west.
Camping Elizabeth with its location in the Prefecture of Rethymno is the best base for your sightseeing on Crete. You can visit
the most of the well known touristik areas while you stay here. Driving distance does not need more than 90 minutes to the archelogical sites of Knossos, Gortys, Phaistos or to the cities of Heraklion
and Chania with their airports/ferry boat ports.
The crystall water beaches of the South coast you will reach in about 50 minutes by car or motorbike.
The ferry boat from and to Athens ist sailing 3 time a week directly to the new port of Rethymno. Public bus stop at the
campsite offers a high frequently service (every 15 minutes) to the town of Rethymno and the main bus Station KTEL.
Our campsite and it´s team guarantee for wonderful & quiet days. Our friendly and multilingual team is well experienced and
enthusiastic to offer their knowledge for unforgetable holidays on Crete.
The spacious pitches are located under more than 400 shady trees.

Directly on the 11 km sandy beach of Rethymno, which is the widest and longest beach of the island of Crete. Walking distance
along the beach to the center of the old town of Rethymno are 45 minutes.
